When I think of holiday attire I think of deep rich colours in velvet and cashmere as well as oversized sweaters. I think of jewel tone colours in silk and a lot of sequins.
Whether you are going to a formal event or a house gathering don't be shy. I have always said you can never go wrong if you are overdressed so don't overthink what you are going to wear.
Here are a some of my go to looks that can be simple and elegant.
A deep red, burgundy velvet pant suit worn with a silk cami,
An oversized sweater with a silk wide leg pant,
Crystal embellishments or a shiny metalic top worn with jeans,
Don't be afraid of the snowy white monochromatic look, it's elegant and classy. A creamy silk top with a cream corduroy pant and a faux fur cream coat over top. Off white/white boots is a must to complete this look.

A leather pant or skirt worn with a classic white button down shirt, worn with layered dainty jewellery and red lipstick is an effortless and timeless look,

Then there is always the true classic of wearing red. A red monochromatic top and pencil skirt or a mid length dress with embellishments or worn with a belt. Or pull out your red plaid shirt, french tuck it in your jeans, pull your hair back and put on your favourite earrings. To elevate this look put on red lipstick, heeled shoes and throw on a leather jacket.
Dressing for the holiday's does not and shouldn't be a stressful time. It's a time to step it up a notch and have fun! I hope that you put an outfit together that makes you feel beautiful and sparkly on the inside and out.
Happy holidays to you all and may you always shine bright.
