We wait, we plan, we get in the holiday spirit, and then it all goes by so quickly....if only time could slow down just a little bit.

Some of you may know this about me already, but I am a very routine person. I am not sure if this is a bad thing or a good thing. I think it can be both. Last November, my mother and I went to Greece for a couple of weeks to do some house renovations at my family home. While we were there, they had begun to decorate the streets with Christmas lights and wreaths. I was in awe. I didn't think I could love being anywhere else but home for the holidays, but this visit changed my mind. Mom and I excitedly chatted about possibly coming for the following Christmas and that when we got back home to Halifax we would bring it up with the rest of the family. Fast forward a year later and Christmas and New Year's were celebrated in Greece! Talk about stepping out of routine.
Being away in a 2 bedroom home with 9 other people during the holidays had its challenges...not going to lie, but I don't think I would have it any other way. Even though there were some challenging times, I know that we were all there together for the same reason....because of the love we all have for one another. That's really the reason of the season and I feel very blessed that all 12 of us could celebrate together under one roof.
Being away from home for the holiday's was definitely an experience, one that I will remember forever. However, being back home and slowly getting back into routine, I realize how happy it makes me.
The month of January always puts me in a purging mood. I came back and started re-arranging some furniture in my home and then I got into my closet. Same time every year my closet gets raided and re-organized. It really is the best feeling. :) I had written a blog last January with some tips and advice on how to arrange your closet (if you'd like to read up on it) or I'd be more than happy to come visit your closet and help you get organized.
